In Science, "Wild Type" is the phrase used for the normal condition, the natural example that everything else is compared to. It is a way we go back to understand what is natural.  In wood and other natural materials, there is incredible diversity of pattern, color and texture lying within and one can find expansive beauty in the Wild Type.

Wood is a nearly infinite canvas of complexity and diversity that provides endless inspiration and interest for people. I enjoy bringing this internal bueauty out into the world for people to experience.  The "Wild Type" is not as common and uniform as one might presume.
